About the therapist
Welcome to Tempered Heart Psychotherapy. I believe that every person carries the inner strength to heal, transform, and grow stronger through life's most challenging experiences.

The story behind Tempered Heart
I chose the name Tempered Heart because it represents resilience. Just as metal is tempered through intense heat to gain lasting strength and durability, our hearts can become stronger and more grounded through life's hardships. My practice is built on the belief that healing is not about assigning blame, but making sense of your unique story in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

Credentials and background
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-III), I offer evidence-based therapeutic care rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My professional training and clinical experience allow me to tailor our sessions to your individual goals, helping you cultivate resilience and lasting emotional well-being. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in psychology at Grand Canyon University, where my research is grounded in Relational Theory. My doctoral studies complement my clinical work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and deepen my commitment to understanding the role of connection and relationships in the therapeutic process.

My approach and session style
When you sit down with me, you can expect a warm, gentle, and compassionate atmosphere where you are truly heard. I bring a soft and understanding presence, while thoughtfully challenging you to foster meaningful personal growth. Together, we navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, and major life transitions with steady support.
